IWMN – Fashion on the Ration
Qwerk have recently completed build of Fashion on the Ration in Manchester which is now open to the public, the exhibition is due to run until May 2017. We previously installed a similar exhibit in London in March 2015.
Exploring 1940’s street style during harsh rationing of clothes and materials. Make Do and Mend was a pamphlet issued by the British Ministry of Information in the midst of WWII, Fashion on the Ration explores the creative ways fashion flourished under the strict rules of 1940’s Britain.
